Though I posted my heartfelt written recap yesterday, today I post my photo journal.  Take each photo for what you will, but it was created by determination, commitment and great emotion . . .

Day 30 - The Weigh In

So there you have it ~

Today I am officially “Finished” with my 2013 Whole30 January journey through the program.  Questions I am already getting mostly include what are you going to add back first.  My answer, I have not decided that yet.  Currently, I am continuing on the Whole30 program indefinitely.  There may be days that I enjoy a little bit of raw honey or the occasional piece of uncured nitrate-free bacon.  But for the long-term, I feel this was a life changing journey that I cannot justify ending just because Day 30 has come and gone.

My legs are already getting stronger!  My mind is happier!  I’m going to kill my 2013 goals!

Stronger Legs

I will continue to train for my first half-marathon that will be on February 24th and push forth with continuing the path to a healthy belly and body with little or no injury and a lot of added personal growth.

Lookout Disney, I’m coming for you!

    1. Thank you Kasey! I love all the changes that have taken place over the last 30 days. Mostly the emotional ones and how I approach all things, not just food. 😉

    1. Best of luck to you Sylvia! Take it slow and don’t give up. Make sure you look at the “time line” they provide and I would totally recommend the Whole30 Daily subscription for $14.95. I saved every one of my emails that I received from them and I constantly look back at them for resources and motivation. I’m staying on the Whole30 beyond my 30 days, but I’m doing it because I just feel so much better. I know you can do it. Just do it for you. 🙂

  1. Today is my last day, and I will be very slowly reintroducing some foods. I really prefer to reduce my meat intake, so some other protein sources will be needed. But I loved doing the Whole30 because I have become much more aware of what foods do to my system. Plus not crashing all the time now.

  2. Wow! Your photo results are fantastic! Congrats on being done, but realizing what a benefit it is for you! Huge kudos. I just borrowed the book from someone today, so I’m going to read more about it.

  3. This is AWESOME! I’m on day 13 of Whole30. My best friend is on day 5. We’re planning to do the Disney Princess half marathon in 2014 (granted I haven’t done ANY running in months and have to alternate walking and jogging just to complete a 5k). Reading about your progress is inspiring and I look forward to seeing how you do with the half marathon.
