With cooler temperatures approaching and hot muggy days coming to an end, get out there and hydrate, fuel up and hit the pavement.  I look forward to this time of year so I can enjoy afternoon running instead of always having to get in crack of dawn morning runs.

Here are some local races in the Tallahassee and Surrounding Areas to consider signing up for.

No One Fights Alone 5K – Saturday, September 22nd at 8:00 am ($10 entry fee)

Born to Run Tallahassee – Saturday, September 29th at 7:30 am – James Messer Sports Complex – Early registration ends Thursday, September 27th ($25 entry fee for 5K Walk, 5K Run, 10K Run)

Run for Lawson – Saturday, October 6th at 8:00 am – Holy Comforter School – Early registration ends Friday, September 28th ($20 through October 4th, $25 day of the race – Youth rates available)

2012 Parents Weekend 5K – Saturday, October 13th at 8:00 am – Oglesby Union Green on Florida State University Campus – ($20 entry fee)

Flagler College Tallahassee Run for the Books – Saturday, November 3rd at 9 am – Tallahassee Community College Lifetime Sports Complex – ($10 entry fee)

2012 Jingle Bell Run – Saturday, December 1st @ 8:00 am CST – The Brooks Street Landing, Ft. Walton Beach ($25 entry fee)
