I love the opportunity to work with restaurants and food companies. Obviously, through new to me and exciting ingredients I get recipe ideas. But recently our friends at Bonefish Grill reached out to offer me an opportunity to check out the newly remodeled digs at my Bonefish Grill on the north side of Tallahassee! Yummy “FREE” Food, oh yes, we did that!
The exterior of the restaurant hasn’t changed much, except some great outdoor seating for when the cooler months and temperatures arrive, but when we step in the changes a little subtle, but totally clear!
Old Bar Seating Area
They’ve added some nice lighting to make a more clear break up from the bar seating/dining area to the main dining room. Some great wine shelves are now there with stock bottles of their wine list selections. The bar itself hasn’t changed except for the switch of a smaller flat screen television for a larger more prominent television to be more visible to patrons.
As for the dining room, there have been quite a few changes . . .
New “Bonefish” mosaic on the wall
The back side of the newly separated bar lighting and wine shelves also looks just as beautiful from the dining area as from the bar entrance area.
The food also experienced a few upgrades, like cuts of meat and available sauces. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp, the one dish that everyone associates with Bonefish Grill and then for dinner, I opted for the Grouper entrée and the hubs for the Grilled Lamb Chops. Both served with upgraded vegetable option of asparagus paired with the mixed vegetable medley. It was a good dinner that only had one hiccup for my entrée but was immediately made right by the manager.
Enjoy the food porn photos . . .
And a little bit of hydration to round out the amazing dinner experience!
Overall, our experience with our newly renovated Tallahassee Bonefish Grill was great! Exciting to see a “refreshed” restaurant nestled into a really busy merchant area on the north side of town. Thanks to my friends at Bonefish Grill for the opportunity to give it a try, we will be back!
