Quest BarsThis year I had the opportunity to attend a conference that was geared specifically for bloggers and the blogging community called FitBloggin’ in Portland, Oregon.  While attending this conference we were able to meet with and sample many brands in the fitness and nutrition world.  When I saw the representative from QUEST Nutrition, I must admit, I was totally PSYCHED!  While at the conference they were handing out samples of the new flavor that had just been released, White Chocolate Raspberry.  I was anxious to give it a try and while I am not a fan of products with raspberries as ingredients or flavoring, I found this bar to be good, but admittedly not my favorite.  It is totally a matter of taste, in my opinion and my opinions are my own.

So after returning home, I contacted the QUEST Nutrition representative and was sent a box-o-GOODNESS.

Here is a little background about their product line –

Cravings Line

I don’t know about you, but we here at Quest are busy. Between work, family, working out and playing, we don’t exactly have a lot of spare time. And while as kids the The Jetsons tv show promised us a life of robotic maids, automatic dog walkers, and machines to dress us, so far, we still have to put on our own pants. As we see it, you’ve got two choices, sue Hanna-Barbera for failing to deliver on their promises, or do things in your life to save on time. We vote for the latter, and that’s where the Quest Low Carb Protein Bars comes in. It’s great tasting, good for you, and fast.

We do all of the work for you. All you have to do is open the wrapper and chew!*

*Team Quest also recommends that you swallow after chewing.

Quest bars were designed for anyone who cares about good nutrition and a leaner body. That’s really all it takes to become part of the Quest team. It doesn’t matter what your specific quest is, just that you have one. So, whether you’re trying to lose a beer belly to pick up more chicks, trying to get SHREDDED and lean for a competition, or you’re looking to add some lean muscle mass so you can whoop Michael Phelps’ ass the next time you see him down at the Y. Quest Bars are going to give you exactly what you need to be successful at any goal you strive for.The funny thing is, there is no big mystery to good nutrition and dieting. Most people know roughly what they should be eating. It’s just that there isn’t much on the market that offers great nutrition, great taste and convenience in one energy bar. So, for those of you looking for a low-carb snack that’s actually healthier than your regular meals, Quest has exactly what you’re looking for.
And best of all, you can try Quest Protein Bars risk free. We’re so certain that you’re going to LOVE it, that if you don’t agree that it is the world’s GREATEST low carb protein bar, we’ll give you your money back. Go on, try one. It’s the nutrition bar you’ve been looking for.

QUEST Nutrition offers 3 different lines to satisfy your Junk-Free Protein Bar needs with the Original Line, Natural Line and the Cravings Line which gives the “other” brand peanut butter cup a run for their money!

Here are my favorites from several of their lines –

Cravings Line – Peanut Butter Cups – These things are just as yummy as they look and sound.  As my friend Kat says, make sure you drink plenty of water with them, as they are packed with 20 grams of protein power!  QUEST says you could eat these everyday, and while you should love all things in moderation, I’m glad I only had a couple of packs of these on-hand or I probably would have.

PBCups_WebLabel_01Original Line – Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – While I LOVE chocolate chip cookie dough and even more in a cup of ice cream, these little bars of goodness are A-MAZING!  I generally only eat half before a workout or run and save the other half for post workout/run fuel while driving home.  21 grams of protein and 3 active carbs, you’ll get the fuel you need with these little bars of goodness.

QUEST Bar Chocolate Chip Cookie DoughOriginal Line – Chocolate Brownie – Can you see the choco-holic pattern here with my three favorite flavors?  I love the brownie flavor that is packed into this bar.  With 20 grams of protein and 5 non-fiber carbs, you get full without the stomach upset of a super sugary bar.  These chocolate brownie bars are so good I even tried them heated up for a little extra GOODNESS and tricked myself into believing it was a dessert!

Quest Bar Chocolate Brownie

All Natural Line – Lemon Cream Pie – I love a good lemon pie with the combination of sweet and tart and the QUEST Nutrition Lemon Cream Pie bar is awesome!  I enjoyed this bar on my way in to work with some fresh blueberries and it reminded me of a blueberry lemon muffin that I have had before without all the guilt!  20 grams of protein and just 170 calories, these will stay in stock in my house as another go-to fuel option for sure!

I feel lucky to have found the QUEST Nutrition line of products at my local GNC store and usually if you ask them for flavors that they do not have in stock they can/will order them for you.  You can also visit QUEST Nutrition and order online through their website to make sure you get the flavors you really want to try.  I’m looking forward to trying the QUEST Nutrition Guilt-Free line of pasta also.

** Disclaimer – I was sent a package of QUEST Nutrition bars in return for this blog post.  While I was compensated with product, all opinions and suggestions are my own. – Tammy Means

  1. I RARELY do bars any more–but am now curious to try these for ’emergencies.’

    1. I usually steer clear to, but these done leave me feeling icky after. I do only eat half at a time though.

  2. The lemon cream pie sounds good. I love a good tart flavor. I’m hypoglycemic so I always need an emergency stash of something with me as a just-in-case. This might be something that fits the bill!

  3. I see a lot of recipes with protein powder, but I’m worried about ‘junk’ in those… does Quest have a protein powder? Cookie Dough would be a weakness of mine…

    1. Kierston, I really want to try some of the recipes I have seen people post using them as ingredients. Some really look like they would be yummy! 🙂

  4. I cannot eat whey protein, so I have never had these before – but all of my friends ask me what kind of bars they should be eating that are healthy and I always recommend these – because well look at them! Now if only QUEST could come out with pea protein or rice bran protein or hemp protein bars – that’d be amazing! 😀
